Statement on the candidate Anta Diagne, UN Volunteer

Anta Diagne took position as a UN Volunteer, working on the Community Development Emergency Programme (PUDC from its French acronym) in September 2016. She is a remarkable person and a dedicated volunteer. In her daily work, Anta’s support and dedication are very much appreciated by local authorities and communities. Her dynamism, proactivity and good understanding of local context in Senegal constitute her assets to be efficient in sensitizing community members to be involved and gain ownership of the programme. She has remarkable skills in community mobilization and sensitization. She has great availability and is always ready to respond to the needs of the programme beneficiaries. She is also working in facilitating the coordination of UNDP activities on the field and data collection for a better monitoring and evaluation of the programme. She is truly the bridge between UNDP and the community.
As well, Anta is particularly dedicated in women empowerment and their involvement in the programme. She was in the heart of capacity building of 400 women in value chain activities. She particularly support the involvement of women in decision making.
Anta truly has the dedication and the commitment of a volunteer.
