Isabella Chiarotto (Associate Professor) received in 1989 Master’s degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology Sapienza University of Rome. Researcher at the Chemistry Department of Sigma Tau Pharmaceutical Industry Spa–Pomezia in 1991. Holder of two grants of Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) Oriented Project in Fine Chemistry (1191-1992). She was appointed as assistant professor at Sapienza University (Chemistry for Engineering) in 1992 of General Chemistry at the Sapienza University of Rome. She worked at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) Dept. de Chemie dell'Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris (FR) in 1996. She is author of about 100 scientific publications and 3 International Patents. Her research interests are mainly focussed on electrochemical studies and applications in organic syntheses and use of ionic liquids in electrochemical syntheses of substance for biological and pharmaceutical scopes. The syntheses are carried out following the principles of green chemistry, minimizing the waste and recycling the solvents.
