PERCHÉ IL SUD AFRICA?

il Sudafrica è uno dei più grandi mercati emergenti della regione mediorientale e africana di dimensioni pari all’Iran e primo canale di business per i dispositivi medicali;

gli altri dispositivi pesano quasi il 40% del mercato totale.

Le dimensioni di mercato sono sostenute da una popolazione africana in continua e rapida crescita; negli ultimi 20 anni l’incremento annuo è stato del 2,5% e dovrebbe toccare i 2,4 miliardi entro il 2050. Il boom della popolazione porterà a una crescente necessità di servizi sanitari accessibili e di alta qualità per ottenere una copertura sanitaria universale (UHC) la produzione di dispositivi medici è limitata, pertanto il mercato dipende in larga misura dalle importazioni il governo sta avviando un programma di assicurazione sanitaria nazionale (NHI) per istituire un’assistenza sanitaria universale.

8 APPROFONDIMENTI SUL SISTEMA SANITARIO IN AFRICA ORIENTALE

Secondo l’International Finance Corporation (IFC), l’Africa sub-sahariana vive circa l’11% della popolazione mondiale e pesa per il 24% sulle malattie globali in termini di costi umani e finanziari.

Quasi la metà del numero mondiale di decessi di bambini sotto i cinque anni ha luogo in Africa.

Secondo la Banca mondiale, la forte crescita economica degli ultimi anni ha contribuito a ridurre la povertà al 43% della popolazione.

Tuttavia, con l’espansione della popolazione africana - si stima che raggiungerà i 2,5 miliardi entro il 2050 - la regione deve affrontare una sfida fondamentale per creare le basi per una crescita inclusiva a lungo termine.

Quali opportunità per le imprese italiane che vogliono accedere al mercato del sistema sanitario nigeriano?
