Natural solar energy amplifiers in planet-atmosphere systems

In the above paper [1], a time factor T was erroneously omitted in eq. (6). This omission together with its subsequent effects is hereby corrected as follows.

In the equations along the 9th and 11th lines on page 585 as well as eqs. (6) to (9),B should be replaced byB/T . Also in eq. (10), B should be replaced by B/t. Consequently, eqs. (11) and (12), respectively, should be rewritten in the following slightly different forms:

Ω_n≈ 660 sinc (f_nt)e−jπfnt

and

Ω_n≈ 3143 sinc (f_nt)e−jπfnt_.

The amplification factors 2312 and 6915 should therefore be replaced by 660 and 3143, respectively. Note that these corrections do not affect the discussion and conclusions of the paper. It is worth noting, however, that the work reported in ref. [1] has already been extended recently by incorporating resonance conditions involving the oscillations in H_n(t) and c_n(t) such that n = 1, 2, ..., N (see ref. [2]). This extended research work has established amplification factors much greater than those mentioned above.
