Documentation for the SVTRAD 1.5 Review Committee

The accompanying document, BAD #339 “SVT Radiation Protection: Upgrade Requirements and Scenarios”, contains detailed information on the current SVTRAD system and future upgrade plans, including sections on the radiation environment,

radiation hardness of the SVT, the current SVTRAD system and several possible upgrade scenarios. Since the focus of this review, as detailed in the accompanying charge to the committee, is on the SVTRAD 1.5 electronics upgrade, we felt that it would be useful to the committee for us to point out the sections of the document most relevant to the review.

This includes:

• Chapter 1: Introduction

• Chapter 4: SVT Radiation Monitoring System

• Chapter 5: Performance and Experience

• Section 6.2.4: Replacement with Diamond Sensors

• Section 6.3: Readout Electronics Scenarios

• Chapter 7: SVTRAD 1.5 Electronics Upgrade

While the committee is welcome to read the remainder of the document for further background information, it is the contents of the aforementioned sections that should be the primary focus for the purpose of this review.
