LAND ART COME SERVIZIO ECOSISTEMICO
Analysis of the situation
How can biodiversity become an ecosystem service?
How can this ecosystem service become
a sustainable economic opportunity?
High biodiversity
Not always it’s easy to appreciate biodiversity (animals are difficult to see into a wood land, landscapes are monotonous )
High biodiversity of the NR Easy to reach for school
Easy mobility inside the area
We are changing the
collaboration with the guides cooperative
If visitors increases, the risk of impacts increase
Walking distances are excessive for young
children and old people
The hypothesis we want to investigate, are:
- it is a good idea to realize a path decentralized in a small part of the Reserve with some stop points which consist in land art installations
- We’ll be able to communicate the value of biodiversity and our research activities through land art installation
?
Focus: how communicate the biodiversity value of the Reserve, and our environmental researches?
A land art – path may be the solution?
It’s not easy to explain to visitors our environmental researches
It’s difficult expecially with very young people and people that have no technical base knowledge
To see the Reserve biodiversity, people must walk a lot along the area: high impact, difficulties for some people, etc.
Problems & Question Advantages
Emotions given by an artistic installation, help to communicate and share our message better
It is possible to concentrate more themes in a short path: easier to visit; less human impact in the most part of Reserve
Some particular artistic installations could became nice ideas for a gadget line (t-shirt, magnets, etc.)
