SABENA SHOE FACTORY SINCE 1973

Since 1973, the Sabena Shoe Factory has been evolving continuously since Giancarlo Stocco and his wife founded the company, specialising as subcontractors in the production of sports shoes. In particular, they began to make cycling, soccer and motorcycle shoes, increasingly technical and technological, able to satisfy the needs of champions of the caliber of Timo Bracht. A family-run company, which tells the story of the real Venetian “Made in Italy”, a reality able to renew itself and aim high, thanks to the quality of its products. There are many names of very famous companies served by Sabena in recent years, including: Sidi, Fizik, Time.

Designers, engineers, modellers, suppliers of traditional and cutting-edge raw materials are just some of the partners with whom Sabena confronts every day to create the best product and always be competitive on the market.

In 2011 Stefano Stocco returned to the company and joined his brother Diego, his uncle Francesco Stocco and his father in the birth of the Crono brand. A line of technical footwear for competitive athletes and amateur cyclists at high levels. Today, Crono has a lot of success in Italy and abroad with a strong brand that has managed to carve out its space in a crowded market and not always up to the demands of its audience. The clean style, the precise search for the right detail, the maximum balance between performance and comfort of the product are Crono’s best business card.

Dal 1973 il Calzaturificio Sabena è una realtà in continua evoluzione, da quando Giancarlo Stocco e la moglie fondarono l’azienda, specializzandosi come terzisti nella produzione di calzature sportive. In particolar modo iniziarono a realizzare calzature da ciclismo, calcio e moto, sempre più tecniche e tecnologiche in grado di soddisfare le esigenze di campioni del calibro di Timo Bracht. Un’azienda a conduzione familiare, che racconta la storia del vero made in Italy veneto, una realtà in grado di rinnovarsi e puntare in alto, forte della qualità dei suoi prodotti. Sono tanti i nomi di aziende molto famose servite in questi anni da Sabena, tra cui: Sidi, Fizik, Time. Designer, progettisti, modellisti, fornitori di materie prime tradizionali e all’avanguardia sono solo alcuni dei partners con cui Sabena si confronta ogni giorno per creare il prodotto migliore ed essere sempre competitivi sul mercato.

Nel 2011 Stefano Stocco rientra in azienda ed affianca il fratello Diego, lo zio Francesco Stocco ed il padre nella nascita del marchio Crono. Una linea di calzature tecniche per i praticanti del ciclismo agonistico ed amatoriale ad alti livelli. Oggi Crono raccogliere molti consensi in Italia ed all’estero con un marchio forte che ha saputo ritagliarsi il suo spazio in un mercato affollato e non sempre all’altezza delle richieste del proprio pubblico. Crono CR1 is the super light carbon bike shoe that combines performance with extremely high comfort. The 6-layer carbon sole ensures you to transmit every single watt of power to the pedals. Its fine details like the anti-slip lining and the laser-designed side openings for ventilation, combined with an exclusive closing technology, make this CR1 our top of the range shoe. The innovative Multi-Contact Closure System, developed in CRONO’s research and development department, allows an incredibly enveloping closure, distributing the pressure on 8 points, eliminating the discomfort of the frontal tongue. Two Boa® IP1-S with coated steel cable (replaceable), allow direct contact with the shoe. Boa® Fit System offers a high comfort adjustment for a quick fit, even when removing the shoe. The standard combination with the Solestar® sole guarantees excellent foot stability during pedaling, medially blocking the pronation while maintaining the neutral position.

All Boa Fit systems are guaranteed to work in any condition. The wheels and laces of the Boa Fit System are guaranteed for the entire duration of the shoe. The upper part made of microfibre with four color variations, guarantees high breathability thanks to the front ventilation openings and the laser-made ventilation holes. The high-profile containment heel is reinforced with TPU, rigid and fitted with a slip-resistant lining, ensuring maximum alignment during pedaling. The tongue is made of a special material with memory-foam technology: it adapts to every foot shape, ensuring maximum wrapping during pedaling.

Suited to very light MTB, this shoe really looks like CR2. We have made it stronger by inserting on its top an anti-tear material and putting on the back a TPU heel in order to protect it against any excoriations, debris and impacts. It is realized by means of a very high light and perspiring microfiber. The Boa^® Fit System L6 with nylon coated steel lace, is characterized by a micro-metric closing system which enables the precise shoe regulation. The high containing profile of the heel has been realized by an high density PUR heel and the application of an anti-barefoot lining. The shoe tongue has been studied to give the best comfort and the chosen material fits the foot heat with its shape. Finally, little sweating laser made holes let the foot have a correct perspiration.

Scarpa per MTB estremamente leggera, gemella del modello CR2. È resa robustissima mediante l’inserimento in punta di un materiale antistrappo e l’adozione sul posteriore di un tallone in TPU per proteggere la parte posteriore del piede da urti, abrasioni e detriti. Realizzata in microfibra ad altissima traspirabilità e leggerezza, utilizza il sistema di chiusura Boa^® Fit System L6 dotato di chiusura micrometrica con cavo in acciaio rivestito, che permette di regolare la calzatura in modo millimetrico.

Tallone con alto profilo di contenimento realizzato in TPU rigido e applicazione di fodera anti scalzante. CT1 is appreciated for its light, comfort, practical and fast fit. Made with 2 velcro closure, the bigger reversed Velcro allows a very quick fastener even during running.

The materials have been chosen and selected in order to allow a rapid foot drying by giving it the best comfort. Some clever device, such as no-splipping on the hell, the insertion of a back strap to speed the fit up and the side strap to prepare the shoe on horizontal position on pedals, are unique features.

Leggerezza, comfort, praticità e rapidità nella calzata, sono le caratteristiche di questo modello. Realizzata con due velcri dei quali uno grande ed invertito, permettono una velocissima e personale chiusura anche durante la corsa.
