Testo in italiano:

creare, attraverso appositi segmenti di ciascuna lettura critica, un percorso diacronico trasversale, finalizzato a contestualizzare l’opera. Lo stesso obiettivo viene perseguito anche da un’altra più sintetica tipologia di approfondimento, presentata sotto forma di scheda o riquadro di approfondimento; 3. valorizzare lo studio critico- analitico delle opere, apportando un contributo innovativo, non solo in termini di sintesi, ma anche di interpretazione;

Text in English:

The research project has the goal of providing a radically new vision of Russian literature. We are convinced this can be an innovative and essential precondition for a deep rethinking about how to promote reflections and interest for literary texts. The most relevant new aspect is the methodology to be implemented: literature will be told through the works (texts in prose or verse, short stories but also multi-part novels, individual poems or poem collections, theatrical plays), unlike what is usually done in the histories of literature, where the context is the starting point for the (hermeneutic and historical) knowledge of the authors and their production. Our project is conceived to reverse this trend: it starts from the individual works in order to explore the literary, cultural and even the historical context of any given era, through a painstakingly measured and directed itinerary of critical readings of individual works. For each of them, a “particularly relevant” feature will be highlighted, from a literary or historical-cultural point of view (or both).

In brief, the project aims to: 1. offering critical readings of the selected literary works, by resorting to multiple approaches – including the philological (especially for ancient texts), the linguistic-stylistic, the historical, the culturological and hermeneutic ones; 2. creating, through specific segments of each critical reading, a transversal, diachronic path, intended to place the work in context. This same objective is also pursued through another, more succinct type of insights, presented in the form of in-depth study boxes; 3. enhancing the critical-analytical study of the works, thereby providing an innovative contribution, not only in terms of synthesis, but also, where possible, of interpretation; 4. building a didactic tool, made up by the critical readings together with the in-depth study boxes, that will be useful both to university professors and high school teachers.

The researcher will be involved in an itinerary of critical essays on single works of Russian literature of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries. The researcher is required to have a very thorough knowledge of Russian literature of the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries, excellent skills in analyzing texts, a high stylistic level of critical prose and an excellent knowledge of both Russian and Italian.
