È difficile esprimere con semplici parole quanto io sia riconoscente nei confronti delle persone che mi sono state vicine, che mi hanno aiutata, confortata e guidata lungo questo percorso che è stato prima il corso di laurea in medicina e poi la tesi.

Per cominciare ritengo doveroso ringraziare chi mi ha dato l’opportunità di svolgere la tesi su questo interessante e affascinante argomento che sono le metastasi polmonari, la

Prof.ssa Franca Melfi, della quale auspico di diventare una stimata collega, in un prossimo futuro.

In secondo luogo, impossibile non ringraziare chi, senza tener conto né di orari né di festività, ha saputo guidarmi tra una colonna e l’altra del mio database e da un capitolo all’altro di questa tesi, la Dott.ssa Sara Ricciardi, che non ha soltanto dimostrato la sua competenza e preparazione in questo ambito, ma anche e soprattutto la sua disponibilità e dedizione nei confronti di chi vorrebbe avvicinarsi alla chirurgia toracica e non sa bene da dove cominciare.

Per ultima, non certo per importanza, un ringraziamento di vero cuore lo merita la mia famiglia, che sin dai primi anni mi ha sempre aiutata a superare le difficoltà, di qualsiasi natura esse fossero, e che penso a questo punto non veda l’ora almeno quanto me, se non di più, di vedermi con questa tanto desiderata corona di alloro in testa.
