Any changes in respirùtion rates in isolated he patocytes may rellect chaùges eilher ìn the leak of prolon across thc nìtochondriai inner mcmbrane or in the activily of the phosphorylaling system (ATP synthase, Pi trans polter, adcnine nucleotide carier, rnd extramitochondrial ATP consùming reaction\) or in the reactions that oxìdize substrates (cellular catabolic reactions. the ciidc acid cycle, and the electron trùnspof chain).'' Here, to make up for the relative sparseness of weather and hydrological data, or malfunctioning at the highest altitudes, we complemented ground data using series of remote sensing

Aharonov-Bohm magnetic potentials are associated to thin solenoids: if the radius of the solenoid tends to zero while the flux through it remains constant, then the particle is

This result strongly suggests that we are observing discrete shifts from part-time to full-time work, as conjectured by Zabalza et al 1980 and Baker and Benjamin 1999, rather

In the rst part of the thesis, we study the inuence of SOC on the magnetic state of a d 1 TM ion located in a tetrahedral environment, proving that its eect can be strongly
