This  paper   expand  the  knowledge  of  the  spa$al  and  temporal  evolu$on  of   a  skarn  ore   deposit   linked   to   igneous   rocks   (Campiglia   Mari8ma,   Italy).   Collected   data   led   to   the   reconstruc$on   of   an   unusual  sequence,   in  which  a  mafic   porphyri$c   magma  -­‐gene$cally   linked  with  the  skarn-­‐    intruded  the  previously  formed  skarn.  At  Campiglia,  there  is  evidence   that  mafic  magma  chased  metasoma$c  fluids,  thus  showing  up  an  unforeseen  behaviour  of   magma$c-­‐hydrothermal  systems.
