Maurizio Ranieri, nato il 30.09.1961 a Taranto, Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia 19.06.89 voto 104/110 Università di Bari.

Dottorato di ricerca in Fisioterapia V° Ciclo presso Università di Pavia 15-6-95 (sedi Consorziate Bari, Firenze e Palermo).

Corso di Perfezionamento in Medicina Riabilitativa 31/10/1996, presso l’Università di Bari.

Specializzazione in Medicina Fisica e Riabilitazione l’8-11-2000 con votazione di 50/50 e lode presso l’Università di Bari.

Specializzazione in Neurologia il 30-10-2008 con votazione di 50/50 e lode presso l’Università di Bari.

Dal 16.01.2014 svolge l’attività didattica, di ricerca e di assistenza al 100%, presso l’Università degli Studi di Foggia – Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale - ai sensi dell’ art.6, comma 11, legge 30/12/2010, n°40 e DM n°

167 del 26/04/2011.

IMPEGNO DIDATTICO, Insegnamenti presso Corsi di Laurea Magistrali e Triennali, scuole di specializzazione afferenti alla Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia dell’Università di Bari “Aldo Moro” ed attualmente dal 16.01.2014 presso l’Università degli Studi di Foggia.

IMPEGNO SCIENTIFICO, testimoniato da più di 100 pubblicazioni scientifiche su riviste indexate su PubMed, Scopus, ISI, Embase e non indexate, proceedings. Si segnalano di seguito le “Linee di Ricerca”:

Aspetti riabilitativi dei disturbi del tono muscolare nelle patologie del Sistema Nervoso Centrale (Ictus, Sclerosi Multipla, Mielolesioni, Morbo di Parkinson, ecc..). In questo nuovo campo di ricerca della disciplina si stanno effettuando indagini inerenti gli aspetti riabilitativi dei disturbi del tono muscolare nelle principali patologie del Sistema Nervoso Centrale. Inoltre sono state effettuate ricerche sull’impiego di farmaci quali la tossina botulinica e la somministrazione di farmaci per via intratecale (baclofen, morfina e clonidina).

Indicatori sui processi di recupero nelle Gravi Cerebrolesioni Acquisite (GCA).

Ricerche tese ad individuare un set minimo di indicatori specifici per il monitoraggio dell’accesso, dei processi, e dell’efficacia, al fine di concorrere alla definizione di requisiti strutturali, tecnologici ed organizzativi specifici in ambito riabilitativo.

Protocolli di Ricerca sulle alterazioni della Coordinazione Statica e Dinamica nelle patologie di interesse Neuroriabilitativo. Protocolli di studio in atto, nella comprensione dei Disagi che affliggono soggetti sia in età evolutiva sia in età involutiva, che comportano difficoltà nella gestione dei comportamenti psico-motori comunemente utilizzati nelle attività quotidiane e che producono ricadute sfavorevoli sul peso della disabilità.

Valutazione e trattamento riabilitativo delle disabilità neuropsicologiche e cognitive. Altro tema molto attuale, finalizzato alla valutazione, al trattamento riabilitativo ed alla prognosi delle disabilità neuropsicologiche e

cognitive è la identificazione dei principali indicatori di Outcome. Pertanto sono stati effettuati studi sulla qualità della vita nelle patologie degenerative del sistema nervoso centrale.

Aspetti riabilitativi delle disabilità di tipo ortopedico. Gli studi sono rivolti alla valutazione dell’efficacia di nuove terapie motorie e strumentali che riducano i tempi della riabilitazione nelle principali problematiche di tipo ortopedico (protesizzazioni, lesioni muscolari e ligamentose, ecc.).

IMPEGNO ASSISTENZIALE, dal 21-5-1996 Collaboratore Tecnico Medico e poi come Ricercatore in quanto responsabile dei pazienti sia in regime ordinario e DH U.O. di Medicina Fisica e Riabilitazione Policlinico di Bari.

Ha svolto Guardia interdivisionali di PS nelle Cliniche Neurologiche I^a-II^a, Div.

Neurologia e Neuropsichiatria Infantile del Policlinico di Bari, dal 21-5-96 al 30-11-2009.

Dal 1-12-09, Turni di Guardia divisionale presso la Unità Spinale e U.O.C. di Medicina Fisica e Riabilitazione del Policlinico di Bari.

Dal 01 Novembre 2011 è Direttore della S.C. di Medicina Fisica e Riabilitativa della Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria OO.RR. di Foggia.
