Architectural design of sporting and social center in Pietrasanta with structural study of the part for swimming activities.
sommario /
Infrastrutture 14 Gennaio 2008
“Nuove Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni”.

Following a territorial research on the presence of adequate sports facilities along the Versilia coast, there has been the need for action to create a center for sports and
social purposes that it should go to fill the
gaps emerged.
In addition to the careful choice of activities and services that has been decided to enter into the project, it was proposed to intervene with low environmental impact that was going to seamlessly integrate with the nature characters surrounding. It was thus designed a building that would stand for a strongly hypogeal feature and therefore almost completely non-invasive, except for three steel boxs (with prospects fully glazed) emerging from the ground.
The architectural features of the boxs and the functional needs of the activities hosted within imposed an accurate structural study since the definition of the geometry of the resistant elements would significantly influence the aesthetic, architectural and functional of the rest of project. For this reason, among the three boxs has been chosen the one that showed criticality
predominant than the other and over this
one has been addressed the structural study of the resistant elements.
The structural study of the object of the thesis was performed by using the calculation software Prosap and every stressing action was assessed accordance with the regulations D.M. Infrastructure
