Curriculum vitae della prof.ssa Patrizia Francia
Laureata in Fisica nel 1981 con lode, dal 1983 ricercatrice presso il Dipartimento di Fisica dell’Università dell’Aquila, dal 2015 è professore associato presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Fisiche e Chimiche dell’Università dell’Aquila.
La sua attività di ricerca riguarda lo studio degli effetti della variabilità solare sullo spazio circumterrestre in conseguenza dell’interazione tra il vento solare e la magnetosfera terrestre, con particolare riguardo all’arrivo a terra di strutture interplanetarie, come shocks e interplanetary coronal mass ejections, e alla propagazione di onde MHD nella magnetosfera.
