Abstract:
The information exchange with radio technology is a good opportunity at lower management cost than other systems that use traditional cables. Digitalization is a requirement of all the technological aspects of telecommunications like traditional and cellular telephony, internet diffusion, generic cable transmission and at last satellite and terrestrial Tv signal.
DVB-T standard of transmission is of interest particularly for the countries near to the polar regions where satellite reception calls for a low elevation angle of the receiving antennas and is therefore more critical, and cable trasmission is too expensive because of the large distances to be covered and high cost of cables. This technology allows audio/video and internet data reception and will substitute the current analogic standard of transmission (PAL, SECAM, NTSC) . Besides, the use of newer and newer algorithms of data compression will improve the quality and efficience of this technology. Finally the efficience of DVB-T allows to use the same band of frequencies for many Tv channels and a lower transmission power: this fact is important to reduce electromagnetic pollution.
