2. . SAFETY RULES

Please read and understand all instructions before using.

Please keep the instruction manual carefully.

1). The pressure cooker is designed for cooking at home and should not be used for other purposes. People who do not know the service of the cooker should not use it.

When using, keep children away from the pressure cooker.

2). Don’t touch the high temperature metal surface directly.

3). The boiling point of the pressure cooker is below 120° centigrade; during the boiling phase, a large amount of steam can be produced, while the volume of fluids inside the pot can significantly increase.

4). You cannot cook dried legumes in the pressure cooker unless you leave them to soak for at least 12 hours before cooking. Generally, both with fresh vegetables and dried legumes, it is recommended to cook small amounts at a time and not to exceed the MAX indicator on the scale: the foam created during cooking might obstruct the safety valve (4) of the cooker and the pressure regulator valve (5).

5). Keep regulator, safety valve, gasket, stop opening valve, lid and body tidy and dry.

6). Don’t put soda directly for cooking (picture 2), do not overfull the pot with oil or other seasonings in respect of the third point. (picture 3)

Picture 2 Picture 3

7). Check that the pressure cooker is placed on a stable hob; the flame should never touch the body wall (picture 4). When using an electric hob, the pressure cooker should be set on a smaller hob than the outer diameter of its bottom (picture 5).

Picture 4 Picture 5

8). NHigh pressure frying is not allowed. Don’t use the pressure cooker for dry cooking to avoid any damage and shorten the service life of the product. Never use the pressure cooker for pressure frying in deep or shallow oil.

9). If during cooking, the safety valve starts releasing steam, put out the fire immediately. Don’t use the cooker until the problem is solved.

10). Be careful when moving the pressure cooker filled with hot liquids; put it gently on a flat surface. Pulling, knocking and falling must be avoided.

11). Do not place anything and do not restrict, in any way, the free space around the regulator valve (Picture 6).

Picture 6

12). Fill the pot to a maximum of 2/3 of its capacity when cooking food with water (picture 7), do not exceed 1/3 of its capacity when cooking foodstuffs like rice, vegetables and dry legumes. In any case, fill the cooker at least up to 1/4 volume (picture 8)..

Picture 7 Picture 8

13). Never open the lid before making sure that the pressure inside the pressure cooker has dropped completely. Never turn on the stove if the lid is not correctly fitted.

14). After cooking with salt, vinegar, sugar, or cooking water, immediately clean the pressure cooker and leave it to dry.

15). Before using, check that every part of the pressure cooker is correctly installed to avoid any accident.

3. FUNCTIONS

1) The pressure cooker is designed for cooking at home and should not be used for other purposes. The lid and the body is made of 304 stainless steel, a high-grade and durable material, with a double layered bottom. The pressure cooker can be used on induction, electric and gas hobs.

2) The pressure cooker is equipped with multiple safety devices:

- Regulator valve: will ensure a safe use.

- Safety valve: will automatically check the inside pressure. When the inside pressure is too high, the safety valve will vent the over steam for a safe use.

4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before the first use

1) Read the instruction manual carefully before first use, and especially the “safety rules”.

2) Add cold water, filling the cooker up to a half of its rated capacity. Close the lid to start cooking and wait till the regulator valve stops release steam. Remove the pressure cooker from the stove and do not open the lid for at least 10 minutes.

3) Open the lid only when the cooker completely cooled down. Clean the pressure cooker and place it under the cold tap water, then dry it.

Normal operation

1) Make sure the vent-pipe is not blocked. If there is food debris, use a small stick to clean. Make sure the safety valve is clean. The gasket must be correctly installed.

2) The cooker must be filled with at least 1/4 of water or other liquids to let the cooker release steam when using. Fill the cooker to a maximum of 2/3 of its capacity when cooking food with water. When cooking food that easily releases steam, fill the cooker to a maximum of 1/3.

3) Closed lid: Close the lid as indicated by the arrow (picture 9) and place the cooker on the stove.

Figura 9

Heating

1) When moving the pressure cooker, hold both the handles to avoid damage.

2) The pressure cooker must be put on a flat surface and specifically on a smaller hob than the outer diameter of its bottom. When using a gas oven, make sure the flame does not wrap up the oven.

3) Begin to cook over high heat to rapidly increase the temperature inside the pot, even if the flame shouldn’t be too strong. The increase of temperature during cooking leads to steam release to the pressure regulator valve. Under normal condition (without the temperature increase), the regulator valve should not vent. If it releases steam (check the cooking times), lower the temperature provided by the hob for energy saving.

If the regulator valve stops releasing steam during cooking, please increase the heat resource. If the control valve emits the steam too quickly, please reduce the heat source.

Attention

1) Never leave the pressure cooker unattended on the kitchen plate when using.

2) During use, don’t touch the high temperature surface directly.

3) When cooking soups and dense foods, make sure it is not too sticky.

4) In the sake of safety, please follow the rules above in case the liquids vaporized to burn and block the safety valve..

Switch off the hob

At the end of the cooking phase, switch off the hob and the regulator valve will cease to vent (according to the cooking times).

Cooling down

1) The condition of instant cooling down

In order to instantly reduce the temperature and pressure, turn the knob directly to the steam release symbol on the lid, make the regulator valve release steam (picture 10) or put the cooker under cold water for cooling it down (picture 11). Then you can turn the knob anticlockwise to open the lid.

Picture10 Picture11

2) THE CONDITION OF NORMAL COOLING DOWN After cooking, leave the cooker to cool down.

Open the pressure cooker

As soon as the pressure cooker cools down, turn the knob anticlockwise and open the lid. (picture 12)

1) Please operate carefully and, if necessary, wear heat-resistant gloves to prevent scalding.

2) When cooking soups and dense foods, gently shake the pressure cooker before opening the lid in order to prevent food from splattering.

3) Do not turn the knob with too much force.

4) Do not open the lid by force.

Picture 12
