MILGARD CASE COMPETITION A.Y. 2019-‐20 CALL FOR APPLICATION
The Department of Economics and Management selects 8 students from his bachelor’s programs to participate in the 9th Annual Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Students will be selected on the basis of their fulfillment of the requirements and by an interview.
The students will obtain a maximum score of 30 for their fulfillment of the requirements and maximum score of 30 for the interview.
The students will be admitted to the interview only if they will obtain at least 25 as score for their fulfillment of the requirements.
The students’ final score will be equal to the sum of the scores obtained during the assessment of the requisites and get by the interview. This way, 4 students will be selected to participate in the competition, and other 4 students will be nominated as a reserve in case one of the first 4 students will not be able to participate in the competition for reasons of force majeure.
The score for the fulfillment of the requirements will be awarded taking into consideration:
-‐ the mark of the English exam taken at the university and/or certifications confirming the English language proficiency level and/or the score obtained in the test for the enrollment in the Bachelor of Management for Business and Economics (10 points);
-‐ the average of the marks of the exams taken (8 points);
-‐ the amount of credits obtained respect to the enrollment year (ratio between the credits obtained/credits that potentially can be obtained) (8 points);
-‐ the participation to international competition similar to this one (2 points);
-‐ the realization of works concerning the corporate social responsibility (2 points).
The interview will verify the candidate’s English knowledge and proficiency and the level of understanding in topics related to corporate social.
The four students who will participate in the competition will get three credits (ECTS).

COVERAGE OF THE COSTS INCURRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION
Department of Economics and Management will cover the cost of airplane ticket and health insurance.
The Milgard School of Business, through its sponsors, will cover all local costs, including:
• local transportation to and from the airport
• hotel accommodations (3 rooms per night for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
• all meals while here, except for Friday evening trip to Seattle when students are on their own.
