LIQUID RING VACUUM PUMP
Le pompe per vuoto ad anello liquido della serie ALM, ALL e ALA sono del tipo mono stadio, per alto vuoto grazie alla valvola di variazione del rapporto di com- pressione. Oltre che per la semplicità e robustezza, si caratterizzano per i seguenti vantaggi:
- ampia versatilità di impiego - elevata affidabilità
- possibilità di aspirare quasi tutti i gas e vapori nonché eventuali trascinamenti di liquidi associati - compressione isotermica
- unica parte in movimento: la girante
- disponibilità di esecuzioni in materiali pregiati (hastelloy, titanio, ecc.)
- manutenzione ridotta al minimo - nessuna necessità di lubrificazione - funzionamento senza vibrazioni - rumorosità molto contenuta.
Costruzione
ALM
La pompa è fissata direttamente sulla flangia del motore. I motori sono in esecuzione stan- dard B3/B5.ALL
La pompa è montata sulla flangia di un suppor- to. I motori sono in esecuzione B5.ALA
La pompa è dotata di due supporti laterali.La supportazione è costituita, per tutte le versioni, da due cuscinetti a sfere prelubrificati a vita. Il senso di rotazione: orario, visto dal lato motore. La tenuta sull’albero è realizzata a mezzo di una (due per la serie ALA) tenuta meccanica semplice secondo DIN 24960.
Impiego
La pompa, durante il suo funzionamento, deve es- sere sempre alimentata con il liquido d’esercizio per asportare il calore generato dalla compressione del gas e per il reintegro dell’anello liquido, in quanto una parte del liquido stesso viene espulso con il gas.
Il liquido d’esercizio può essere separato dal gas in un apposito separatore a valle, con la possibilità di essere riutilizzato attraverso degli accorgimenti.
Normalmente viene utilizzata acqua.

The ALM, ALL and ALA liquid ring vacuum pump ranges are single stage type with vary port valve design.
Simplicity and robustness are the main features but there are other advantages to be highlighted, as fol- low:- wide range of applications

- possibility to handle almost any gas and vapour nev- ertheless associated liquid carry over
- isothermal compression - one moving part: the impeller
- different exotic material executions available (hastel- loy, titanium, etc.)
- low maintenance - oil free operation - low vibration - silent running.
Construction
ALM
The pump is fixed directly to the motor flange.Motors are standard B3/B5 construction.
ALL
The pump is mounted on a bracket.Motors are standard B5 construction.
ALA
Between bearing, bareshaft.Shaft supporting: for all versions, there are two grease- lubricated ball bearings.
Sense of rotation: clock wise when viewed from the motor side.
Shaft seal: by means of a single mechanical seal ac- cording to DIN 24960 (two seals for the ALA range).
Operation
The service liquid must be continuously fed to the pump during the operation in order to remove the heat of compression and restore the liquid ring as part of it is discharged with the gas. The service liquid may be separated from the gas into a discharge separator and recirculated, if required, by following specific arrange- ments. Normally water is used as service liquid.

SERIE ALM - ALL - ALA
I valori di portata indicati sono riferiti ad aria rarefatta sec- ca, alla temperatura di 20°C, alla pressione atmosferica di 1013 mbar, e all’impiego di acqua alla temperatura di 15°C, quale liquido d’esercizio.
I dati indicati sono passibili di variazioni, al modificarsi del- le condizioni d’esercizio. Così ad esempio cambiamenti del- le caratteristiche fisiche dei gas da convogliare, variazioni delle caratteristiche (tensione di vapore, temperatura, peso specifico, viscosità) del liquido di esercizio, convogliamenti di gas miscelati a fluidi o misti a vapori sono fattori che de- terminano sensibili variazioni rispetto la portata nominale.
Nella esecuzione 316, la portata diminuisce di circa il 10%
rispetto ai valori della tabella.
La potenza dei motori, per impieghi normali, viene scelta per le suddette condizioni di esercizio. Nei casi in cui necessita una potenza maggiore si passa alla grandezza successiva.
Per aumentare il grado di vuoto massimo raggiungibile con la pompa, si può montare sulla tubazione di aspirazione un eiettore a gas; esso funziona sfruttando la caduta di pres- sione tra la bocca aspirante e la bocca premente della pom- pa, senza necessitare di alcuna fonte di energia esterna.
La minima pressione d’aspirazione raggiungibile è di circa 10 mbar. Il campo d’impiego è al di sotto di 40 mbar. Il nostro ufficio tecnico sarà lieto di fornirVi ulteriori infor- mazioni.
The given capacity values are referred to rarefied dry air at the temperature of 20°C, atmospheric pressure of 1013 mbar, service liquid consisting of water at 15°C. Alterations can occur when working conditions change.
For instance changes of the physical properties of the handled gas or service liquid (vapour tension, temperature, specific grav- ity, viscosity), combination among different types of gas and vapours are factors which might determine heavy impacts on the nominal capacity. Pumps in 316 execution are 10% less per- forming compared to the capacity values stated in the table.
The selected motor power is based on the standard operating conditions. In case there is a higher power demand, it is pos- sible to install the next motor size. In order to achieve a deeper vacuum, a gas ejector can be installed ahead of the pump; it operates by taking advantage of the pressure difference created by the pump without the need of a high energy motive fluid.
The maximum suction pressure which can be reached is about 10 mbar. The ejector should be used below 40 mbar. For fur- ther information apply to our Technical Department.
