5.3 Limiti e sviluppi futuri

I risultati raggiunti da questo lavoro sono affetti da una serie di limitazioni.

In primis, i dati raccolti potrebbero contenere errori o essere inaccurati. La raccolta manuale dei dati, infatti, potrebbe esser motivo di bias, ed inoltre, i dati utilizzati sono stati raccolti da diversi gruppi

di ricerca, attingendo da differenti risorse nel passare degli anni. Oltre a ciò, i dati potrebbero essere non validi o scarsamente affidabili per il fatto che le imprese potrebbero aver fornito informazioni inaccurate o incorrette per preservare la loro reputazione.

In secondo luogo, i dati sono relativi alle imprese appartenenti ai ranking di Forbes Global 2000 e di

Sustainalytics. Questa rappresenta una limitazione nel nostro lavoro poiché dobbiamo tenere in

considerazione che il nostro database contiene i dati delle imprese provenienti da 8 Paesi diversi e dunque imprese di piccole e medie dimensioni degli altri Paesi non sono ricomprese nell’analisi. Dobbiamo infatti considerare che la cultura in termini di Corporate Social Responsibility e gli ambienti politici variano da Paese a Paese.

Future ricerche in questo ambito di studio potrebbero prendere in considerazione tali limiti andando a migliorare di gran lunga i risultati ottenuti.
