LINGUA E CULTURA INGLESE

Il lavoro scolastico del presente anno di Lingua e Cultura Inglese è stato suddiviso in cinque moduli (uno di lingua, quattro di letteratura). Esso, oltre al completamento del programma della classe quarta con cenni all'Epoca Puritana, alla Restaurazione e all'Età Augustea (1600-1700), ha riguardato soprattutto la Poesia nell'Epoca Romantica, il Romanzo Vittoriano, il Racconto del primo Novecento, ed infine il Romanzo Distopico del secondo Novecento, ed è stato associato allo studio dello sfondo storico-sociale del Regno Unito dalla fine del 1700 alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale, e degli Stati Uniti dalle origini alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale.

Si sono inoltre seguiti i seguenti percorsi disciplinari:

• La condizione femminile (M. Wollstonecraft, T. Hardy, J. Joyce).

• L'essere umano e la Natura (W. Wordsworth, T. Hardy).

• La fanciullezza come simbolo di bontà e purezza e lo sfruttamento del lavoro minorile (W.

Wordsworth e C. Dickens).

• Il tema del Doppio (O. Wilde).

• Il concetto di Bellezza (da J. Keats a O. Wilde).

• L'intellettuale, la politica e la guerra (The First Generation of Romantic Poets, G. Orwell).

Potenziamento del lessico, ripasso e approfondimento delle strutture linguistiche.

Studio del testo: tecniche di lettura, analisi, riassunto, commento e discussione di testi letterari, d'attualità, di carattere storico e artistico in preparazione alla Seconda Prova Scritta dell'Esame di Stato. How to write a report, how to write an article.

CONVERSAZIONE IN LINGUA INGLESE

Il docente di Conversazione in Lingua Inglese ha contribuito nel corso dell'anno scolastico al recupero, al consolidamento e soprattutto al potenziamento delle strutture grammaticali, delle funzioni comunicative, del lessico e della pronuncia.
