Abstract
The report describes the code CHEYENNE devised for the study of small dimension reactor by the heterogeneous method; the Feinberg-Galanin ap- proach is used.
The physical model adopted assumes three groups (fast, resonance and thermal) diffusion theory for moderator, however the equations are written in a form which can easily generalized to multigroup diffusion theory. In order to calculate reactors with finite dimensions reflector, the Feinberg Galanin rod-rod interaction kernel has been slightly modified. Further features are the possibility of tanking in account localized absorptions in all groups, the epithermal fissions and the slowing-down in the fuel element. Furthermore the code is able to deal both with regular lattices and with local effects such as the unsertion of control rods.
At the present, its limits are the number of groups (three) and the maximum allowed number of classes (twenty-five).

1. INTRODUZIONE
