The Folk started over 30 years ago and has been growing in popularity ever since. The festival organisers, who are all volunteers, work very hard throughout the year to ensure the festival is a success.
The festival attracts people of all ages and the organisers work very hard to make sure everyone who comes has a great time.
It's a family festival and as well as the music in recent years the festival has expanded and now includes poetry, film, literature and lots of children's events.
The festival usually takes place sometimes in June and although the precise location has changed over the years it is always located somewhere close to the market town of Beverly.
Beverly, which is in the north-east of England, is a beautiful little town with a stunning medieval cathedral, everyone who visits it is impressed by its quiet elegance.
